About me

My focus on Asian cultural research has guided me down a rabbit hole of work and projects — I have gotten to explore performance and digital arts to spread culture, movement, and visual storytelling. While my research projects have been published in the traditional paper style, I have also gotten to complement my projects with aesthetics and digital content. I hope to continue to work in the performance and digital arts, as well as continue working in cultural studies.

My journey

Born in Queens, New York City, I spent most of my life in Elmhurst and a community of Asian American immigrant families. I moved to Surabaya, Indonesia, throughout my middle and high school years, before relocating back to America. I studied in Illinois for my undergraduate degree for four years before relocating again to Los Angeles, California to pursue my graduate program.

It’s ok to be the dumbest person in the room, as long as you’re willing to learn from everyone in the room with you.

  • A student who is constantly looking for projects to learn and grow in experience and skill — but at the same time, has the skillset to be confident in leading a team.

  • I believe working on a project requires human interaction and consistent communication. I am open to working in person, if location allows, or remotely via regular online meetings.

    I take on freelance/commission projects for lighting design, digital media, dance, and research.
